Typhoon Vamco has left the Philippines with catastrophic damages in its wake, and the storm is now moving towards Vietnam.

Vamco is located near 15.4 degrees north, 115.5 degrees east, approximately 417 nautical miles east of Da Nang, Vietnam. The storm has a maximum sustained winds of 85 mph (140 km/h), with sustained gusts of 105 mph (165 km/h), and a minimum pressure of 977 millibars. The storm is moving west-northwest at 8 knots (8mph) and is forecast to gradually weaken as it approaches Vietnam, along with moderate vertical wind shear and 26-27°C sea surface temperatures, signaling an unconducive environment for further intensification.

Vamco is forecast to make landfall north of Hue, Vietnam. There are no warnings currently in effect for this storm, but please prepared for this storm. Keep updated with your local officials, as this storm is a rainfall threat yet again to Vietnam.
