Tropical Cyclone Wasi continues south of America Samoa, weakening. This system continues to produce some areas of convection around the center of the system, where rainfall in these areas are the highest. Latest microwave pass indicated that this system is just producing disorganized convection around the center and dry air is entraining from the west. Wind shear is increasing and is now 10KTS and expected to 
increase to unfavorable levels by Feb 24. Sea surface temperatures remains favorable at 28C and expected to remain generally at 27-28C for most of its lifetime. Models are indicating that this system is expected to move generally south away from America Samoa, and also are in a consensus that this system is likely to remain its intensify as a Tropical Storm on the Saffir-Simpson scale based on consensus.
