Possible Hurricane may develop near Florida this week – Tropical Weather Bulletin – Nov 7, 2022

0

The Atlantic is still open for business in the tropics, and another area of interest is teeing up to become our next tropical cyclone, and possibly a hurricane as it heads towards the northernmost Bahamas and into Florida later this week. This storm is expected to become very large, with storm force winds likely across the entire southeastern United States, a potent storm surge, and rainfall estimates of up to five inches. Hurricane Watches may be issued tomorrow, as well as storm surge watches, with up to 7 feet expected currently. Landfall is expected to occur on Thursday. Elsewhere, areas of interest could sprout up in the Central and Western Pacific later this week, as well as in the Bay of Bengal. None of these systems are expected to develop at the moment.
