Tropical Weather Bulletins have returned for the 2022 season! Catch all of the happenings in the wide world of tropics with our daily tropical recap and forecasts!
On this edition, the tropics are fairly quiet, but there could be some rumblings on tap this coming week in the Atlantic, Western Pacific, and Indian Ocean. However, only one area is marked at the moment – an area of interest that could become a tropical cyclone near Myanmar later this week, and produce a significant rainfall event.
Elsewhere, interest is growing in the Atlantic, with the GFS model indicating a significant hurricane forming next week. But at the moment, there is no other model support, and into the long range the forecast is uncertain to the point where the GFS’s crazy forecast should be discarded at this point in time.
