Cyclone Batsirai Live Landfall Coverage – 5PM EAT 05 February
Cyclone Batsirai continues to track towards Madagascar this afternoon as a powerful Category 3 cyclone (Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale) and the current forecast from Meteo France has the system making landfall within the next few hours as a powerful storm. Meteo Madagascar has issued red and yellow warnings for much of Madagascar. Batsirai is rated as CDPS Stage 7, meaning catastrophic damage is expected from the cyclone.
