DISCUSSION
-----------------------------------
Tropical Cyclone Damien has weakened to below Severe Tropical Cyclone status continues inland over Western Australia near the Solomon Airport. This system continues to be well organized despite being over land but it is showing clear signs that its collapsing, with the eye being clouded and the convection starting to show cracks and dismemberment. Latest microwave pass indicated that this system's eyewall has collapsed totally, and the eye feature gone, degenerated back to a Central Dense Overcast (CDO) feature. It is likely that this system is expected to continue moving southward and weaken quickly. Wind shear has increased to 15KTS and expected to increase quickly as it traverse the Auatralian continent. Models are indicating that this system is expected to continue southward with rapid weakening.

Please visit Bureau of Meteorology for official forecasts and warnings.
