DISCUSSION
-----------------------------------
Gabekile continues generally southward and has significantly weakened over the past 12 hours. Gabekile's convection over at the center has mostly dissipated amidst higher wind shear values. Latest microwave pass indicated that this system continues to produce convection southeast, under the same vector as the Wind shear, which indicates conventional weakening due to increased wind shear. Wind shear has further increased to 30KTS and expected to remain at 30-35KTS. Sea surface temperatures remains somewhat favorable at 27C and expected to remain generally marginally favorable at 26-27C throughout its lifetime. Models indicate that this system is expected to move generally southwest and by the time it weakens, it is expected to jolt back westward under the influence of surface trades. Models also indicate that this system has has begun weakening, and expected to weaken from now on quickly.
