Fiona continues its major hurricane track northwards, after intensifying to a Category 4 storm on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. After emerging from the Caribbean islands yesterday, its next target is Bermuda. The current forecast cone from the NHC places Bermuda in the storm’s path, but at this time a landfall is not expected. After clearing Bermuda, Fiona is likely to weaken, but could make a strong extra-tropical landfall in Nova Scotia.
