Major Hurricane Sam Regains Category 4 Status – (Video Update)
Major Hurricane Sam has regained category 4 status after briefly weakening to a category 3 status hurricane. Sam is expected to continue being a major for three days before losing its major status as it continues to track northwest, curving towards the northeast as it does so. Sam became a category 4 hurricane on Saturday, yet has continued to maintain the intensity for five days although a period of slight weakening to category 3 hurricane occurred over the last 24 hours. Sam is expected to pose no threat to land, and stay out to sea.
