Cyclone Megan Intensifies With Warnings Across Northern Australia – Video Update

0

Cyclone Megan was named by the Bureau of Meteorology earlier today, and is continuing to strengthen as it crosses the Gulf of Carpentaria. With a landfall expected early Monday morning, hurricane force winds are possible with large amounts of rain for the NT coast of the Gulf. Elsewhere, Tropical Depression 18S continues to struggle to the northwest of Karratha, but computer models are still hopeful with regards strengthening. Steering remains weak, but the storm is expected to move westwards slowly out to sea. Another cyclone could form near Fiji this weekend, but chances remain low.
