Tropical Storm 04B to Bring Heavy Rainfall Across India

An unprecedented Tropical Storm 04B formed earlier in the Bay of Bengal, marking the first year of an occurrence of two tropical storms in August in the basin since 1972, and is currently set to make landfall in India, bringing with that some gusty winds and significant rainfall to the region. The current guidance currently shows rainfall generally 200 to 300mm, however locally higher totals may be possible as this system moves through.
