Tropical Storm Celia Gains Traction – Video Update
After battling wind shear over the last couple of days, Tropical Storm Celia is starting to fight back, and a strengthening trend is likely to continue through the end of the week, with the storm forecasted to reach hurricane status on Saturday. Thankfully, Celia will remain out to sea, although rough surf and rip currents will become a risk along a large portion of the Mexican coastline. Celia is expected to follow Blas and will survive for longer thanks to its large size, and partly from the trail Blas set ahead of it into more hostile conditions by the end of the weekend.
