Tropical Storm Malakas kickstarts the 2022 Western Pacific Typhoon Season, remaining out to sea but heading in a general direction towards the Philippines. However, it is expected to curve back out to sea without affecting any land areas, but residents in the Philippines should keep an eye on this system as it develops and listen to their local government agency for advice.
