Tropical Storm Sanvu Hanging on in the Western Pacific – Tropical Weather Bulletin – April 22, 2023
Tropical Storm Sanvu formed a couple of days ago near Micronesia, and has cleared the islands in its movement generally northwestwards. The storm is holding winds of around 40-45mph, and is expected to weaken over the next few days. The center of Sanvu’s remnants is currently expected to pass near or over Guam, but impacts are likely to be minimal. Rainfall is expected to reach 4 inches on some islands including Guam. Elsewhere, another area of interest is not likely to form as it moves around New Caledonia next week. No other areas of interest are expected to form.
