Typhoon Hinnamnor near landfall in South Korea – Video Update – September 5th, 2022
Typhoon Hinnamnor remains very dangerous and powerful as it makes its final approach to the shores of South Korea – currently less than 60 kilometers from Jeju island. The storm will sweep northeastwards and pass near or over Busan in the early hours of tomorrow morning local time. Powerful winds of over 100mph (160kph) sustained are possible along the coast, with a dangerous storm surge and heavy rainfall of up to 300mm expected in some areas, on top of what has already fallen. Hinnamnor is expected to continue to weaken as it leaves the coast, and turn post tropical near the sparsely populated coast of Russia.
