Amanda continues inland over Guatemala and is currently producing large deep convection in association with it. Localized flash flooding, mudslides and landslides is possible as excessive amounts of rain falls over much of Guatemala and El Salvador. Amanda is likely to continue to embed itself within the Central American Gyre (CAG) and could move into the Bay of Campeche where tropical cyclone development chances may be increased.
