Tropical Storm Mangga is currently located over open waters southwest of Cocos Island, as Mangga continues generally south to southeastward. Mangga is currently producing large and disorganized areas of shower and thunderstorm activity in association with its broad Low Level Circulation Center (LLCC), with its very weak convection. Thus, this has allowed Mangga to lose tropical cyclone status. Mangga is expected to continue moving southeast with greater speed and could intensify as a non-tropical low from baroclinity as it heads for Western Australian coast.
