DISCUSSION
-----------------------------------
Tropical Depression Francisco has strengthened over night local time into a Tropical Storm yet again as convection today continued to to be sustained near the center of the system. Recent satellite imagery suggests that this system is still producing convection near the center of the system, riding along the eastern Malagasy coast, although showing signs of slight weakening due to land interaction. Latest microwave pass indicated that this system continues to produce its convection near the center of the system. Wind shear is generally low and expected to increase to moderate as it continues its voyage towards Masagascar. Sea surface temperatures remains favorable at 29C and expected to remain this way, allowing for convection blooming, before crossing into landmass and eventually cutting off its warm water supply. Models are indicating that Francisco is expected to move southwest and inland towards Madagascar with a low probability of re-strengthening into a moderate tropical storm.

Please visit MétéoFrance for official forecasts and warnings.
