DISCUSSION ----------------------------------- Ex-Tropical Cyclone CALVINIA continues its trajectory southeastward as it begins its extratropical transition in the mid-latitudes of the southwest Indian Ocean. This system is producing convection mostly towards the southern and eastern periphery of the center of the system, due to westerly shear acting on the system. Wind shear has further increased to very high at 40KTS and it is likely to remain the same throughout the transition period. Sea surface temperatures are unfavorable for tropical development at 22C and expected tp further decrease, signalling the end of CALVINIA. Current models are predicting a continuous southeastward motion with general weakening as an extratropical cyclone. Visit MétéoFrance website for more information provided by officials. THIS IS THE LAST REGULARLY SCHEDULED BULLETIN. NO MORE BULLETINS WILL BE ISSUED. $$ Forecaster Knack
