Cyclone Freddy Remains Intense, Cyclone Warnings In Effect – Video Update
Cyclone Freddy’s odyssey continues as it marauds through the Indian Ocean. The storm is set to close in on the Mascarene islands over the weekend and arrive in Madagascar early next week, and may still be a major hurricane equivalent cyclone by then. Storm-force winds are set to impact Mauritius, Réunion, and eastern Madagascar, with high rain rates and accumulations possible. Cyclone warnings are in effect in Mauritius, Madagascar, La Reunion and Rodrigues.
