Hurricane Kay is paralleling the coast of Baja California Sur as a category 1 hurricane, and delivering tropical storm conditions to the region. Tropical Storm Watches and Warnings, as well as Hurricane Watches and Warnings, remain in effect for Baja California. Residents in the warning and watch areas need to have begun preparations and should listen to their local weather station for guidance on what to do.
